Klaman Eating Disorders Center

The Klaman Eating Disorders Center at McLean Hospital is comprised of a highly trained multidisciplinary team, of expressive therapists, nurses, nutritionists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and teachers. Team members follow each patient throughout her course of treatment. An added benefit of the program, staff are particularly skilled at treating co-existing conditions, such as substance abuse, depression, trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders and other co-occurring psychiatric conditions.

Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders (FEAST)

Parents, choosing the most appropriate treatment for your loved one is one of the most important parenting decisions you will make. Although a diagnosis of anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorder may be frightening and intimidating at first, eating disorders are a treatable illness and professional treatment is essential.

The Center for Eating Disorder Management

The Center’s multidisciplinary outpatient treatment consists of a team of nurse practitioners, psychotherapists and registered dieticians. They provide specialized medical, psychological and nutritional assessments and treatment using a holistic approach. Collaboration with the patient’s primary-care provider continues during treatment. Individual case management with the entire team occurs weekly to ensure on-going evaluation. If more intensive treatment is required, a referral to a day treatment, inpatient, or residential level of care can be arranged.
